Manufactured Process Summary

The natural talcum was selected and purified first. Then, we introduce the unique jet mill to pulverizing the natural talcum to manufacture talcum powder (talc) of different fineness. The talc quality is determined by the quality and fineness of the natural talcum.

Product Introduction

The talcum powder is commonly called talc, pulvis talci, or PULVISTALCI, which shows fine white or class white powder, lubricant sense with hand touch, odorless, tasteless. It is insoluble in water, dilute mineral acid or dilute hydroxide (alkaline) solution. The raw materials, talcum, is one kind of hydrous magnesium silicate minerals of layered structure, whose scientific name is hydrated magnesium silicate and chemical formula is (3MgO-4SiO2-H2O). The talcum powder shows characteristics of lubrication, low hardness, high melting point, good electrical and thermal insulation, little expansion and contraction, high dispersion, good shielding ability, good oil absorption and hydrophobicity, small friction coefficient, stable chemical nature, and enduring erosion of acid and alkali. Therefore, the talcum powder is widely used in rubber, plastics, papermaking, chemicals, paints, ceramics, cable, etc. industrial products and cosmetics, food, medicine, etc.

Product characteristics

  • Fine white powder.
  • Layered crystal structure; easy to split into flake trend and special lubricants.
  • Fire resistance, endurance of acid and alkali, insulation, stable chemical nature, good shielding ability, luster, strong adsorbability, and high dispersion.
  • The product is superior; users could choose the type according to the applicable fineness, surface area, bulk density, and whiteness.

Applications

  • Apply to paints: commonly used in white body paint, a variety of water-based, oil-based, and industrial coatings, primer, protective paint, art paper coatings, etc.
  • Apply to rubber, cables, plastics, etc. industrial products: the talc could be used as a filler to replace some of the more expensive plastic material for reducing costs. In the other way, the talc will improve die, rolling, extrusion, injection molding, etc. processing performance of rubber, plastics, and resin. It is commonly used in rubber filler, rubber anti- adhesive, cable dusting powder, polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), nylon, polyester type, etc.
  • Apply to ceramics: high-frequency ceramic, industrial ceramics, architectural ceramics, porcelain, enamel, etc.
  • Apply to waterproof material: waterproof membrane, waterproof coating, waterproof ointment, or fillers and anti-adhesive of roofing products such as linoleum , roofing paper, asphalt shingles , roofing , etc.
  • Apply to papermaking:Increase paper brightness and opacity and enhance absorption capacity of ink, pigment. The talc has low hardness and low wear values so it make paper and printing equipment more durable. It is commonly used in fillers, paints, resin control agents of various pulp, paper, and cardboard.
  • Apply to cosmetics: moisturizing powder, cosmetic powder, toilet powder, powder, foundation, eye shadow, blush, cream, etc. products.
  • Apply to food, medicine: Commonly used in pharmaceutical tablets, pharmaceutical powder sugar, bath powder, herbal formulas, food additives, etc.

The types of the talc product were respectively entered into a fixed weight (12.5, 20, 25 kg) as the packaged weight; details please refer to product specifications. The package is a three-layered kraft sack.
